Elections were held in May 2011.  There are 12 seats on the Alford Town Council, and in the May elections only 9  people stood, all of which were members of the original council.  Applications were requested for co-option and at the meeting held on 17th May 2011 there were 6 candidates for co-option.  Following a ballot of elected councillors the following were welcomed on to the Town Council; Cllr Jeremy Webb, Cllr Mike Deakin and Cllr Grant Allan.
