WELL, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO LET THE COUNCIL KNOW WHAT’S GOING ON, AT ANCASTER’S ANNUAL PARISH MEETING!

 

Monday 15 April 2013 at 7.30pm in the Village Hall.

 

The meeting will be attended by The Road Safety Partnership and Lincolnshire Highways, in response to growing number of vehicles speeding in the village.

PUBLIC MEETING POSTPONED!

The public meeting due to be held on Saturday 16th February 2013 to discuss SPEEDING THROUGH ANCASTER has had to be posponed due to prior engagements of the some of the Road Safety representatives.  We will endeavour to reschedule as soon as possible and details will be posted around the village as well as being published on the website and in Around Ancaster.

REVISED COSTS FOR BURIAL WITHIN ANCASTER PARISH

As of 1st April 2013 revised costs for burials in the Ancaster Parish will apply.  This is the first revision of costs since September 2009 and was approved at the Parish Council Meeting on 14th January 2013.

NEW 50MPH SPEED LIMIT FOR WEST WILLOUGHBY 

We are pleased to report that West Willoughby now has a 50mph speed limit, the signs were installed in August 2012. Initial reports show that most motorists are slowing down.                   

New Booking Clerk

A new Booking Clerk has been appointed to take charge of bookings for the Parish Hall, Ermine Street, Ancaster

Ancaster Parish Council Awarded Quality Status

The Parish Council are pleased to announce that they have been awarded Quality Status by the Accreditation Panel of the Lincolnshire Association of Local Councils for a further four years. This means that they have achieved an accepted  standard of proficiency in terms of services provided, financial control, consultation with residents and partners and qualification of their Clerk.
