Patient Participation Group NEWSLETTER

CAYTHORPE & ANCASTER MEDICAL PRACTICE ISSUE 6: 1st July 2016

“Written by patients for patients”  the newsletter is attached below ....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Caythorpe and Ancaster Medical Practice
Caythorpe and Ancaster Medical Practice has been providing medical cover to a large area of South West Lincolnshire from its two Surgeries for many years.
A newly formed Patient Participation Group made up of 10 active volunteer patients, the practice manager and representatives from the doctors within the practice has been set up. They meet bi-monthly at either the Ancaster or Caythorpe Surgery.
They are seeking more volunteers and or your views and opinions to aid the practice in ensuring the patient, and improving health, are at the very heart of everything it does. This gives patients the opportunity to identify and influence opportunities for improvements in health and care services, and address any concerns or worries. All information passed onto the group by patients is treated in the strictest confidence.
If you are interested please
- Contact villagedoctorppg@gmail.com or
- Ask for the Practice Patient Participation Group  Application Form at Reception, or
- Contact the Practice Manager, Adrian on 01400 230226 or 01400 272215.
Minutes of meetings will be posted on the practice website www.villagedoctor.co.uk for patients to view and a Newsletter “written by patients for patients” will be launched in April and posted online quarterly.
The group would like this to reach as wide an audience as possible...
Can you assist in the distribution of this in the village for those who are not on the internet, in local shops, post office, village halls, and regular meeting groups for example?
Or do you have any ideas on future articles you would like to see covered?
The editor Nicola would welcome your ideas at villagedoctorppg@gmail.com or contact the Practice Manager.
The practice is able to offer online access to appointments and repeat prescriptions. To access this facility you only need contact Reception providing your full name, date of birth and postcode and the log on details will be sent to your home address.
Full details of the services the Practice can offer are available on the Practice website www.villagedoctor.co.uk
