Welcome to Benniworth Village

Benniworth is a beautiful village nestling in the Lincolnshire Wolds in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Situated approximately 18 miles from Lincoln and 10 miles from Louth, Market Rasen and Horncastle, Benniworth benefits from quick links to these destinations with access to the facilities of larger towns.

Although Benniworth does not have any shops, pubs or other local amenities we do have the luxury of the open skies, no light pollution and views across the Wolds to Lincoln Cathedral, quite a sight of an evening when lit up. We are regularly treated to a close up of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, being on its flight path.

The area today is largely agricultural, growing local produce which is distributed around the country. Farmers crops include potatoes, peas and sugar beet. Harvest is a big event in Benniworth. In its day, Benniworth played host to a steam railway which ran through to Louth.

The village telephone box has recently been fitted with a defibrillator and we have worked alongside a telecommunications company to upgrade our internet broadband connection to super fast. Although some of the history of Benniworth is older than when records began, it's vital to keep up to date with progress!

Benniworth is popular with walkers who like to come here to appreciate the rural setting and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the surroundings. St Julian's Church sits proudly in the heart of the village and is also a popular attraction for visitors. There are plenty of places to walk your dogs too, of which we have an almost bigger population of in Benniworth than humans! Cyclists also enjoy the challenges of hilly routes through the Wolds.

With 3 local caravan sites, a Bed and Breakfast and a number of self catering cottages, there are plenty of places to stay.
