Welcome to Bilsby and Farlesthorpe Parish Council Website

The Parish of Bilsby and Farlesthorpe incorporates the hamlets of Asserby and Thurlby. The parish lies about 1 mile from the market town of Alford and is on route to the coastal towns of Mablethorpe and Sutton-on-Sea.

Bilsby still has a busy village shop, post office, filling station and a vehicle workshop. Holy Trinity church stands on the main road, while on the opposite of the road is Church House, the residence of a former vicar.

Farlesthorpe is a small mainly agricultural hamlet which is part of the parish of Bilsby.  It has its own church and telephone box.

There is an active BADGE group (Bilsby and District Group Effort) which covers the parishes of Bilsby with Farlesthorpe and the hamlet of Markby.
