Welcome – giving people moving into Carlby information on local organisations and services

Welcome to Carlby. We hope you enjoy living here; and we hope you will find the information here a help in settling in. There is more on our village website http://parishes.lincolnshire.gov.uk/Carlby and regular news about the village will come through your door via ‘Village News’. Village organisations

Friendly Club – meets in the village hall on the 3rd Wednesday in the month, 2-4pm. Contact Lesley Wickson on 01778 590571

WI – meets in the village hall usually on second Tuesday in the month Sec. Margaret Hawkins 01778 590348 email margaret@forelec.co.uk

St. Stephen’s Church – the church notice board gives information about services; and other church events are advertised in ‘Village News’. The church organises the Jam Club - a club for children 4-14 years old, every second Sunday in the village hall at 10.30am

Internet - two options are available in the village –  

-        BT Openreach via Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC), you can contact your usual ISP and obtain packages with download rates of up to 80mbps

-        Gigaclear via Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) who offer packages with download speeds up to 1000mbps

The Parish Council - the Parish Council represents villagers in local government and has funds of its own for disposal to the benefit of the village. The PC meets at least six times a year and parishioners can raise issues of concern at meetings by attending the Open Forum; or by contacting any Parish Councillor.
