First Contact
First Contact offers people aged 60 and over living in Lincolnshire advice and services to help them carry on living independently. The simple idea behind First Contact is to offer all kinds of help to older and vulnerable people through just one point of contact. The scheme is coordinated by Age UK and Lincolnshire County Council and involves a wide range of public and voluntary sector partners.
What is
The checklist addresses issues such as:
- Fire safety
- Housing
- Social care
- Benefits and entitlements

How does
Our customers can complete a simple checklist in one of our leaflets, with a trained member of staff, on the phone with a Central Coordinator or through our website. The answers customers provide to the checklist questions indicate which agencies they require information and advice from.
Completed checklists generate referrals to the required agency prompting them to contact the customer and deliver the information and advice required within 28 days.
