We are pleased to report that the 2016 entry of Best Kept Village is underway and any help from local residents to make the village shine this year would be much appreciated. There is a working group led by Cllrs Done, Hammond and Redman to repair and refurbish parish council assets such as the telephone kiosk, benches and noticeboards. We would encourage local residents to get involved!

Celebrating 50 years of Lincolnshire’s Best Kept Villages and Small Market Towns

Last year was the 50th anniversary of County’s Best Kept Villages and Small Towns competition.

The competition has grown over the years to now represent more than 125 communities in five categories based on population size. It encourages communities to take pride in their surroundings and work together to raise local environmental standards. Communities are judged on factor such as Green Spaces, Community Buildings and Good Environmental Practice.
