Holton-le-Clay Village Hall

A fantastic opportunity arose to buy the Etherington Arms Public House in March 2010 and turn it into a new Village Hall to enhance the community facilities in the village of Holton-le-Clay.

Due to successful funding of £173,754.00 work can now begin on the Village Hall project in November 2013.  Breakdown of funding is on home page.

FANTASTIC NEWS!  HLC (MERC) HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL TO OBTAIN FUNDING OF £25,000 THROUGH THE LINCOLNSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL TO BE FORWARDED AT THE END OF THE PROJECT.  FURTHER DETAILS OF THE RENOVATION WORK TO FOLLOW.

There is a new Village Hall Management Committee which are called the Holton-le-Clay Multi Purpose Educational and Resource Centre (HLC MERC).

There are 12 members who are working hard to promote the new facility and hold fund raising events to go towards the costs of the renovation of the building.

To date the Fund Raising has been a Car Boot Sale, Victorian Christmas Market and Summer Fayre jointly with the Church Council (HLC PCC).

The Parish Council now has a government loan being repaid over a 15 year fixed period. HLC (MERC) have charitable status, a bank account and some funds, 

The hall is stripped out ready for work to begin saving £20,000 in preparation and also £8,000 p/a in rates,
