DRAFT COMMUNITY EMERGENCY PLAN This has been produced which is a controlled document and contains information to be used during an emergency incident affecting the Community in Holton-le-Clay.  To finalise the plan we need your help! If you would like to be part of the ‘Community Emergency Management Team’ (EMT) or can help with contact numbers and resource requirements to support the local community in a broad range of crises please contact the Clerk to the Council on 01472 825467.  Details to be included in the plan; Vulnerable People, Medical and First Aid, Equipment, Transport, Emergency Accommodation, Privately-Owned Generators, Plant and Clearance Equipment and facilities for the Emergency Services.      

FIRST CONTACT IN LINCOLNSHIRE– STAY SAFE & INDEPENDENT                    First Contact is a service which allows people aged 60 and over to access a range of information and advice to help them stay safe and well in their home through one point of contact.  Customers can fill in a simple checklist either attached to one of the First Contact leaflets, with a trained member of staff or on the phone with a First Contact Central Coordinator based at the Council's Customer Service Centre.

SALE OF THE COUNCIL OFFICES The sale should take place by mid March  and it is hoped that the Clerk to the Council and ELDC Customer Services will continue to use the current Council Offices and transfer to the new offices once refurbishments are completed at the rear of the former Etherington Arms PH.  This is to avoid any disruption to the current services.    

DOG WATCH SCHEME ELDC are launching the Dog Watch Scheme throughout the whole of the East Lindsey District area.  They are seeking individuals who want to volunteer to become a Dog Watch Coordinator.  The coordinators will be responsible for their chosen area to relay any information or concerns given to them by the residents to the Council.  Please contact the Clerk to the Council for an Application form and further information.

LINCOLNSHIREBEST KEPT VILLAGE COMPETITION To run alongside the competition for 2012 it has been suggested to incorporate Best Kept Gardens and Best Kept Businesses.  The Council would like to see how much interest there is in this kind of competition, so it would be great to hear form you with your views. AMENITY GRASS CUTTING & WHEELIE BIN COLLECTION                                                                                                                 The Green Waste bin will resume on the Monday 26 March (Domestic and Green waste bin) and Monday 2nd April 2012 (Recycling and Green Waste bin)

The grass cutting will resume in March 2012.


The dates of the forthcoming ELDC Facilities Day are Wednesday 8th February 2012 and Wednesday 14th March 2012 9.00 am-1.00 pm and 2.00 pm-4.00 pm   


The dates of your local ELDC Councillors’ surgery at the Parish Offices are

Wednesday 14th March 2012 2.00 pm-4.00 pm


If you need to dispose of bulky items of household waste, i.e. refrigerators, freezers, cookers, beds, etc., please contact East Lindsey District Council on 01507 601111 to arrange collection.  The fee is £15.00 for up to 4 items.


As well as being invited to attend the Parish Council monthly meetings parishioners can also attend the next tier of committee for the East Lindsey area.  Next meeting is on Wednesday 7th March 2012, 7.00 pm at North Somercotes Village Hall. 


The next two Full Council Meetings will be on and 19th March 2012 and 16th April 2012. All planning applications can be viewed at 7.15 pm. prior to the meetings. All parishioners are welcome.
