VACANCY FILLED ON THE PARISH COUNCIL The Parish Council now has the full number of members totalling Eleven.  The newest member co-opted on Monday 19th March 2012.

THANK YOU The Parish Council would like to thank Mr Shaw and his family for helping planting the daffodils along Louth Road from Clay Lane.  They look beautiful on the approach to the village.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  PUBLIC CONSULTATION                                                                  SATURDAY 28TH APRIL 2012 - NEIGHBOURHOOD PLANNING:                                    As part of a new government act ‘The Localism Act’ a steering group with 5 members of the Parish Council are producing a document to plan the village future development for 15 years.  A public consultation will be held on Saturday 28th April 2012 between 10.00 – 12.00 pm in the Council Offices, Holton-le-Clay.  Please see details as a separate page on the Notice Board

SALEOF THE COUNCIL OFFICES The exchange of contract is due to take place with transfer of ownership at the end of May 2012.  The Clerk to the Council and ELDC Customer Services will continue to use the current Council Offices and transfer to the new offices after the refurbishments have been completed at the rear of the former Etherington Arms PH.     

INTERCONNECT51 STAGECOACH BUSES from 2nd April 2012 will have a new timetable which will see through buses between Grimsby and Louth running hourly instead of half hourly.  Short intermediate journeys will run between Grimsby and Holton-le-Clay to maintain the village’s current half hourly service in both directions. 

DOGS – NO DOGS ALLOWED IN JUNIOR PLAYING FIELDS

HORSES – NO HORSES ALLOWED ON THE 8 ACRES PLAYING FIELD

HORSES – NO HORSE RIDING ON THE PUBLIC FOOTPATHS (WALKWAYS) The public footpaths in the village are not ‘bridle ways’ and should not to be used by horse riders

DRAFT COMMUNITY EMERGENCY PLAN To finalise the plan we need your help! If you would like to be part of the ‘Community Emergency Management Team’ (EMT) or can help with contact numbers and resource requirements to support the local community in a broad range of crises please contact the Clerk to the Council on 01472 825467.  Details to be included in the plan; Vulnerable People, Medical and First Aid, Equipment, Transport, Emergency Accommodation, Privately-Owned Generators, Plant and Clearance Equipment and facilities for the Emergency Services.   A questionnaire is to be forwarded to all households for completion.                        Please see details as a separate page on the Notice Board.                                                                    

LINCOLNSHIRE BEST KEPT VILLAGE COMPETITION 2012.  The Parish Council have decided not to enter the competition this year.

DOGS FOULING – Anyone who witnesses dog fouling that they report it to the ELDC on 01507 601111 and ask for Dog Warden or text DOG to 07781481328.  Dog holders are to be responsible and clean up after their pets. This includes all areas of the village in particular 8 Acres Playing Field, the pavements, walkways and the former railway line.  Dog Warden Patrols are now in place to try and catch the offenders.

Reminder– if you do not clean up after your dog, you could incur a £75.00 on the spot fine with a maximum penalty of £1000.00.

The dates of the forthcoming ELDC Facilities Day are Wednesday 11th April 2012 and Wednesday 9th May 2012 9.00 am-1.00 pm and 2.00 pm-4.00 pm

BULKY ITEMS OF WASTE

If you need to dispose of bulky items of household waste, i.e. refrigerators, freezers, cookers, beds, etc., please contact East Lindsey District Council on 01507 601111 to arrange collection.  The fee is £15.00 for up to 4 items.

DATE OF NEXT MEETING FULL COUNCIL MEETINGS

The next two Full Council Meetings will be on and 16th April 2012 and 14th May (Annual Council).  All planning applications can be viewed at 7.15 pm. prior to the meetings. The Annual Parish (Village) meeting has been moved from March to 21st May 2012. All parishioners are welcome.
