LINCOLNSHIRECOUNTY COUNCIL MOBILE LIBRARY SERVICE

The Mobile Library brings the Local Authority service to the heart of the rural community. There is a comprehensive range of reading material, tailored very much to the users needs.  The Mobile Library crews are friendly and knowledgeable and will go that extra mile to provide you with excellent customer service.  PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL LIBRARY SERVICE otherwise it could be included within the County Council cuts.  Timings and locations are at ‘Here and Now’ section in the Holton News.

EAST LINDSEY DISTRICT COUNCIL (ELDC)

COMMUNITY INITIATIVE GRANT SCHEME (CCIS) East Lindsey District Council recognises the important role that an active community and voluntary sector plays in helping to improve the well-being of the districts residents.  Through the CCIS grant scheme each one of the 60 Ward Councillors receives a £2,000 allowance that they may award as grants to local groups and organisations delivering community projects that benefit the residents of their electoral ward.  Any organisation that would like to put in a bid please contact Councillor Terry Aldridge via email on terryaldridge@btinternet.com.

The dates of the forthcoming ELDC Facilities Day are Wednesday 

10th July 2013 and 14th August 2013.  9.00 am-1.00 pm and 2.00 pm-4.00 pm

BULKY ITEMS OF WASTE

If you need to dispose of bulky items of household waste, i.e. refrigerators, freezers, cookers, beds, etc., please contact East Lindsey District Council on 01507 601111 to arrange collection.  The fee is £15.00 for up to 4 items.

GRASS CUTTINGS – It has been noticed that grass cuttings are being ‘fly tipped’ at the entrance of the 8 Acres Field from South View.  To all concerned would you please dispose of your grass cuttings in the correct way, in the recycling bins provided and not on the public highway.

DATE OF NEXT FULL COUNCIL MEETINGS – 7.00 PM

The next two Full Council meetings will be on Monday’s 15th July 2013 and 16th September.  There is no meeting in August due to August recess. Parishioners are welcome to attend all Council and committee meetings.

PARISH COUNCIL FINANCES:  As at 30 May 2013. General Account £87,836.52 (General Reserve £26,477.72 - New Village Hall towards match funding £10,000 and PWLB Loan Repayments £16,477), Expenditure £3,919.37.                                                     Total General Account £57,439.43.  Burial Board Account £5,055.07.
