MARKETS IN EAST LINDSEY – The nearest local market is in Louth.  Wednesday, Friday & Saturday.  Different dates in Horncastle, Alford, Mablethorpe and Spilsby.  Farmer’s Markets:  4th Wednesday each month.    

                                                                                                                                                                                        REMINDER - USE OF THE BLACK HOUSEHOLD DOMESTIC BIN

Certain waste items are difficult to dispose of. Batteries, electrical equipment, fluorescent light tubes, unwanted fertilisers, herbicides, pesticides, bleaches, detergents and general cleaning chemicals and paint can all be taken to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre at Louth (Fairfield Industrial Estate).  Residents are reminded the above items are not be placed in the household domestic bin but disposed correctly. 

VILLAGE FOOTPATHS AND WALKWAYS - NO HORSES

The walkways in the village are for the use of pedestrians.  There has recently been reported that horse riders were seen riding on the walkway from Church Close to Peppercorn Walk.  Horse riders are kindly reminded to use the roads and not walkways.

DATE OF NEXT FULL COUNCIL MEETINGS – 7.00 PM

The next two Full Council meetings will be on Monday’s 21st October and 18th November 2013.  Parishioners are welcome to attend all Council and committee meetings.

PARISH COUNCIL FINANCES:  As at 16 September 2013. General Account £57,848.19 and Burial Account £5,422.72. (General Reserve - New Village Hall renovation £1,777.06 and PWLB Loan Repayments £18,400.00), Expenditure for August is £8,511.34 (includes £8222.94 WREN match funding to Village Hall project). 2nd half precept due end of September 2013 of £25,000.00.      

EAST LINDSEY DISTRICT COUNCIL - FACILITIES DAY

The dates of the forthcoming ELDC Facilities Day are Wednesday                 

9th October 2013 and 13th Nov 2013.  9.00 am-1.00 pm and 2.00 pm-4.00 pm.

DOG FOULING – OFFENCES FIXED PENALTY NOTICE £75.00                                                                                                            ELDC will do all it can to catch those people who don’t clear up after their pets, but need your help in this by reporting offenders.   

BULKY ITEMS OF WASTE

If you need to dispose of bulky items of household waste, i.e. refrigerators, freezers, cookers, beds, etc., please contact East Lindsey District Council on 01507 601111 to arrange collection.  The fee is £15.00 for up to 4 items.
