CALLCONNECT – BUS SERVICE CallConnect is a unique bus service is designed to improve transport opportunities in rural communities and some market towns where there is an infrequent conventional bus services.  All are welcome to use the service regardless of age or status. Callconnect operates 7am-7pm, Monday-Friday, and 8am-6pm on Saturdays.

TWO NEW BUS SHELTERS have been installed in the village opposite Silver Street/Picksley Crescent and the Doctor’s Surgery on Louth Road.

REMINDER – THE JUNIOR PLAYING FIELD IS AN AREA OF NO ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION AND NO DOGS.  Broken glass alcohol bottles have been cleared away recently and vandalised safety surface near the swings.  Please respect the recreation ground and equipment for the use of children under the age of 15 years.

DOG FOULING – The Dog Warden Service at ELDC and the Parish Council are still receiving complaints about dog fouling on the 8 Acres Playing Field.  The Dog Warden will be doing extra patrols at the 8 Acres Field.   

AMENITY GRASS CUTTING   

The last cut and strim was in October and will resume in March 2014.

DATE OF NEXT FULL COUNCIL MEETINGS – 7.00 PM

The next two Full Council meetings will be on Monday’s 18th November 2013 and 9th December 2013.  Parishioners are welcome to attend all Council and committee meetings.

PARISH COUNCIL FINANCES:  As at 21 October 2013. General Account £67,900.48 and Burial Account £4,280.68. (General Reserve - New Village Hall renovation £1,777.06 and PWLB Loan Repayments £18,400.00).   

         

EAST LINDSEY DISTRICT COUNCIL – LAST DAY FOR GREEN WASTE

Following with the same bin cycle the last day is Monday 11th November 2013 or 18th November 2013 depending on your residency address.          

GREEN WASTE COLLECTIONS – Residents are reminded that they will need to opt in to the new collection service to guarantee collections   fortnightly starting from 31st March 2014 at a charge of £25 per year.  ELDC will write to all homes in early 2014 detailing the changes.

EAST LINDSEY DISTRICT COUNCIL - FACILITIES DAY

The dates of the forthcoming ELDC Facilities Day are Wednesday                 

13th November 2013 and 11th December 2013.  9.00 am-1.00 pm and 2.00 pm-4.00 pm.

BULKY ITEMS OF WASTE

If you need to dispose of bulky items of household waste, i.e. refrigerators, freezers, cookers, beds, etc., please contact East Lindsey District Council on 01507 601111 to arrange collection.  The fee is £15.00 for up to 4 items.
