NEW VILLAGE HALL PROJECT The official start date is Monday 25th November 2013 scheduled with a grand opening at the end of March 2014.  The front area is the contractor’s responsibility and is out of bounds to all personnel.  The car park and rear of property will be taped off and a section out of bounds to the public.  There will be 3 people acting as the ‘Construction Design and Management’ (CDM) Coordinators.  Councillor Clive Blacklock, Allen Tacey and Don Matthews.  The Maintenance Operative, Mr Paul Notley, is also authorised to access the site.   

LINCOLNSHIRE HIGHWAYS – DEFECT REPORTING                                                                    To report any highway defect, street light or illuminated sign fault, traffic signal or pedestrian crossing fault or report a public right of way fault  contact Lincolnshire Highways Customer Services on 01522 782070 or online reporting forms via the LCC website.                                      




EAST LINDSEY DISTRICT COUNCIL (ELDC)

GREEN WASTE COLLECTIONS – Residents are reminded that they will need to opt in to the new collection service to guarantee collections   fortnightly starting from 31st March 2014 at a charge of £25 per year.  ELDC will write to all homes in early 2014 detailing the changes.

EAST LINDSEY DISTRICT COUNCIL - FACILITIES DAY

The dates of the forthcoming ELDC Facilities Day are Wednesday                  

11th December 2013 and 8th January 2014.  9.00 am-1.00 pm and                                 2.00 pm-4.00 pm.

BULKY ITEMS OF WASTE

If you need to dispose of bulky items of household waste, i.e. refrigerators, freezers, cookers, beds, etc., please contact East Lindsey District Council on 01507 601111 to arrange collection.  The fee is £15.00 for up to 4 items.

PARISH COUNCIL VACANCY – There is a vacancy on the council for a Parish Councillor, which is a voluntary role.  For further information please contact the Clerk to the Council on 01472 825467 or visit the Council Offices at the Village Hall on Pinfold Lane.   

HEDGES AND TREES – It is an offence to let your hedges and trees encroach onto Public Footpaths and Rights of Way.  Parishioners are therefore kindly requested to check for any overhanging hedges and trees from their properties and arrange for them to be cut back.

TURNING ROUNDABOUTS - Residents are kindly requested to use the allocated parking bays instead of parking around the turning roundabouts.  The recycling Lorry drivers have to mount the roundabout to pass the stationary vehicles and therefore causing damage to the grass and safety to the driver. 

REMINDER – THE JUNIOR PLAYING FIELD IS AN AREA OF NO ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION AND NO DOGS. 

DOG FOULING – OFFENCES FIXED PENALTY NOTICE £75.00                             ELDC will do all it can to catch those people who don’t clear up after their pets, but need your help in this by reporting offenders.   

AMENITY GRASS CUTTING       

Next cut and strim commences in March 2014.

DATE OF NEXT FULL COUNCIL MEETINGS – 7.00 PM

The next two Full Council meetings will be on Monday’s 9th December 2013 (2nd Wed) and Monday 20th January 2014.  The Finance meeting is on Monday 13th January 2014 to set the Precept.  Parishioners are welcome to attend all Council and committee meetings.
