The Chairman and members of Holton-le-Clay Parish Council wish all parishioners a Happy New Year.

NOTIFICATION OF CHANNEL 8 - NEW LOCAL CHANNEL NEWS ESTUARY TV is the new channel for northern Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire which is now broadcasting on Freeview Channel 8.  Broadcasting to 270,000 homes across the area, Estuary TV works closely with the community, businesses and independent producers to deliver quality television made by and for local people.  Estuary is a commercial public service broadcaster and will provide local news every day, combined with a varied schedule including current affairs, business, environmental, historical, documentary, films and entertainment programming.  

GRIMSBYTELEGRAPH ‘IN BRIEF’ NEWS  To advertise clubs and events details can be placed in the ‘In brief’ section in the Grimsby Telegraph to promote your activity in the village.  Organisations are recommended to contact the Grimsby Telegraph to update their ‘news in brief’ information that may be held.        

NEIGHBOURHOOD DEVELOPMENT PLAN STEERING GROUP There are 2 vacancies on the steering group.  Please contact Councillor Blacklock on 01472 317336 for further information.                                      

LINCOLNSHIRE HIGHWAYS – DEFECT REPORTING                                                                    To report any highway defect, street light or illuminated sign fault, traffic signal or pedestrian crossing fault or report a public right of way fault  contact Lincolnshire Highways Customer Services on 01522 782070 or online reporting forms via the LCC website.                                       




NEW VILLAGE HALL PROJECT UPDATE The renovation is progressing well.  The ground floor facilities are due to be open the end of March 2014.              

PARISH COUNCIL VACANCIES – There are two vacancies on the council for a Parish Councillor.  Applicants must be on the electoral role or worked in the village for the past year.  This is a voluntary role.  For further information please contact the Clerk to the Council on 01472 825467 or visit the Council Offices by the end of February 2014.

DATE OF NEXT FULL COUNCIL MEETINGS – 7.00 PM

The next two Full Council meetings will be on Monday 20th January 2014 and Monday 17th February 2014.  The Finance meeting is on Monday 13th January 2014 to set the Precept.  Parishioners are welcome to attend all Council and committee meetings.

PARISH COUNCIL FINANCES:  As at 9th December 2013. General Account £77,958.55 and Burial Account £4,852.68 (General Reserve - New Village Hall renovation £34,850.00 and PWLB Loan Repayments £16,477.00).                   

CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR COLLECTIONS Some properties may have different collection days over the Christmas and New Year period.  The details can be found on the ‘Waste Collection Post Code Finder’.  If bins or sacks are not presented on the revised days, residents will either have to wait for their next scheduled collection or make their own arrangements to empty the bins.

EAST LINDSEY DISTRICT COUNCIL - FACILITIES DAY

The dates of the forthcoming ELDC Facilities Day are Wednesday                 

8th January 2014 and 12th February 2014.                                                                                                              9.00 am-1.00 pm and 2.00 pm-4.00 pm.

BULKY ITEMS OF WASTE

If you need to dispose of bulky items of household waste, i.e. refrigerators, freezers, cookers, beds, etc., please contact East Lindsey District Council on 01507 601111 to arrange collection.  The fee is £15.00 for up to 4 items.
