The Mobile Library brings the Local Authority service to the heart of the rural community. There is a comprehensive range of reading material, tailored very much to the users needs. The Mobile Library crews are friendly and knowledgeable and will go that extra mile to provide you with excellent customer service. PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL LIBRARY SERVICE. PARISH COUNCIL VACANCY – There is a vacancy on the council for a Parish Councillor, which is a voluntary role. For further information please contact the Clerk to the Council on 01472 825467 or visit the Council Offices at the Village Hall on Pinfold Lane.
DOG FOULING – OFFENCES FIXED PENALTY NOTICE £75.00 ELDC will do all it can to catch those people who don’t clear up after their pets, but need your help in this by reporting offenders.
REPORTING DOG FOULING – Anyone who witnesses dog fouling is requested to report it to the ELDC on 01507 601111 and ask for Dog Warden or text DOG to 07781481328.
AMENITY GRASS CUTTING - Next cut and strim – week commencing 19th May 2014, 2nd & 9th June.
GRASS VERGES - Car owners/drivers are requested not to park on the grass verges but to use their driveways whenever possible or on the road.
DATE OF NEXT FULL COUNCIL MEETINGS – 7.00 PM
The next two Full Council meetings will be Monday 16th June 2014 and Monday 21st July 2014. Parishioners are welcome to attend all Council and committee meetings.
EAST LINDSEY DISTRICT COUNCIL (ELDC)
EAST LINDSEY DISTRICT COUNCIL – MONTHLY FACILITIES DAY
A District Council Customer Services representative visits Holton-le-Clay on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. The dates of the forthcoming ELDC Facilities Day are Wednesday 11th June 2014 and 9th July 2014. 9.00 am-1.00 pm and 2.00 pm-4.00 pm.
LINCOLNSHIRECOMMUNITY AND VOLUNTARY SERVICE Lincolnshire CVS is expanding its LCVS local events in East Lindsey and will visit Holton-le-Clay on the 2nd Wednesday of each month between 10 am – 12 pm. Support for volunteers, community groups and charities. Next date 11th June 2014.

COMMUNITY INITIATIVE GRANT SCHEME (CCIS) East Lindsey DistrictCouncil recognises the important role that an active community and voluntary sector plays in helping to improve the well-being of the districts residents. Through the CCIS grant scheme each one of the 60 Ward Councillors receives a £2,000 allowance that they may award as grants to local groups and organisations delivering community projects that benefit the residents of their electoral ward. GRASS CUTTINGS – To all concerned would you please dispose of your grass cuttings in the correct way, in the green recycling bin/s provided.
Street Lighting
The attached document is a copy of an email sent to the clerk by Lincolnshire County Council. This was a response to the multiple reports of street lighting in the village that are in need of repair.
The big light switch off.
Holton Le Clay Parish Council has been made aware that the big ‘light switch off’ is now underway. Residents will begin to notice that the lights in the village will be switched off from midnight until 6am – although initially times may vary a little. If anyone has any questions or concerns regarding the transformation they are to contact Lincolnshire County Council on 01522 782070.
