Council News - June/July 2014

VILLAGE GRASS CUTTING – The Parish Council is aware of the problems with the village grass cutting, of which has been due to staffing issues and the previous wet weather and are in liaison with Veolia ES (UK) Ltd to rectify the situation.  

NEW CLIMBING FRAME There is a new wooden climbing frame play equipment in the Junior Playing Fields purchased via successful Big Lottery ‘Awards for All’ funding of £10,000.

DOGS – PARISHIONERS ARE REMINDED THAT NO DOGS IN THE JUNIOR PLAYING FIELDS                                                            

HORSES – THE 8 ACRES PLAYING FIELD IS ‘OUT OF BOUNDS’ TO HORSE RIDERS

DOG FOULING – OFFENCES FIXED PENALTY NOTICE £75.00                          ELDC will do all it can to catch those people who don’t clear up after their pets, but need your help in this by reporting offenders.

REPORTING DOG FOULING – Anyone who witnesses dog fouling is requested to  report it to the ELDC on 01507 601111 and ask for Dog Warden or text DOG to 07781481328. 

AMENITY GRASS CUTTING -                                                                             Next cut and strim – week commencing 7th and 21st July, 4th August 2014.

GRASS VERGES - Car owners/drivers are requested not to park on the grass verges but to use their driveways whenever possible or on the road. 

DATE OF NEXT FULL COUNCIL MEETINGS – 7.00 PM

The next two Full Council meetings will be Monday 21st July 2014 and Monday 15th September 2014.  There is no meeting in August due to August recess. Parishioners are welcome to attend all Council and committee meetings.

NEW 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT – LOUTH ROAD Parishioners are reminded of the new speed limit being reduced from 40 mph to 30 mph at both Louth Road entrances and the speed limit of 30 mph being for the whole of Louth Road.  

WEED SPRAYING – The second cycle is due in July 2014 and the list of the streets that need special attention have been forwarded to the Lincolnshire County Council. Apologies on behalf of the Parish Council for the poor state of the village with the grass cutting and weed spray, but it is out of our control. 

EAST LINDSEY DISTRICT COUNCIL – MONTHLY FACILITIES DAY

A District Council Customer Services representative visits Holton-le-Clay on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.  The dates of the forthcoming ELDC Facilities Day are Wednesday 9th July 2014 and 13th August 2014.                                                                                9.00 am-1.00 pm and 2.00 pm-4.00 pm. 

LINCOLNSHIRE COMMUNITY AND VOLUNTARY SERVICE

The same day as the ELDC Customer Services monthly Facilities Day between 10.00am and midday.  For support within the voluntary sector with funding and how to thrive as a voluntary organisation.

ELDC WARD COUNCILLORS SURGERY – 3rd WEDNESDAY
