LINCOLNSHIRE – NHS 111 – is a new telephone service being introduced to help make it easier for you to access local health services, if you need help fast, but it isn’t a 999 emergency. A leaflet is held in the Council Offices.

VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED TO SUPPORT THE RUNNING OF YOUTH CLUB

Any interested volunteers please contact the Parish Office or visit the Youth Club on a  Friday night between 7.00 pm – 9.00 pm Community Centre, Picksley Crescent.                                                  

ANGLIAN WATER – ROAD CLOSURES IN CARMEN CRESCENT (LOUTH ROAD TO NUMBER 31 CARMEN CRESCENT) - JANUARY/FEBUARY – DATES TBC                                                   Anglian Water is proposing to carry out improvements to the surface water sewer network within Carmen Crescent, to reduce the risk of external flooding to properties. 

THE CONCESSIONARY BUS PASS SCHEME IS CHANGING…         Central Government has decided that from 1st April 2011 responsibility for bus passes will transfer from the District Council to the County Council. Application forms and an information leaflet about the scheme will be available from Libraries, Local District Council Offices, other key access centres and online.  The main process for bus pass applications will be via a postal system.  Alternatively, applications in person will be permitted at City Hall, Lincoln.  A poster has been produced to outline the key changes and is displayed on the village Notice Boards.  There will be no changes to the current system before March 2011.

DIGITAL UK – SWITCHOVER – Holton-le-Clay will go completely digital in August 2011.  Further information can be found on the Digital UK website.

ELDC – STREET SCENE SERVICES                                                                                      

This new service has now started within the village.

BYELAWS - HORSE RIDING IS NOT PERMITTED AT THE 8 ACRES PLAYING FIELDS. 

DOGS FOULING

We ask all dog holders to be responsible and clean up after their pets. This includes all areas of the village in particular the pavements, walkways and the old railway line.  If anyone witnesses dog fouling they are to report it to the ELDC on 01507 601111 and ask for Dog Warden or text DOG to 07781481328.                                                                                                                    Reminder – if you do not clean up after your dog, you could incur a £75.00 on the spot fine with a maximum penalty of £1000.00.

DOGS – NO DOGS ALLOWED IN JUNIOR PLAYING FIELDS

A reminder that dogs are not allowed in the Junior Playing Fields – this is the small green area where the children’s playground equipment is in between Garthway and Louth Road.

LOUTH ROAD DYKES AROUND CLAY LANE AREA

Please keep the dykes clear – it is apparent that illegal dumping had taken place that has contributed to the flooding in the area.

TURNING ROUNDABOUTS

Residents are requested not to park at the end of the turning roundabouts in particular on Collection Day.  The refuse vehicle is unable to drive around the roundabout consequently he has to mount the roundabout causing damage.

GRASS VERGES  

Car owners/drivers are requested to kindly not park on the grass verges but to use their driveways whenever possible or on the road.

EAST LINDSEY DISTRICT COUNCIL FACILITIES DAY

The dates of the forthcoming ELDC Facilities Day are Wednesday 9th February 2011. 9.00 am-1.00 pm and 2.00 pm-4.00 pm and Wednesday 9th March 2011.

EAST LINDSEY DISTRICT COUNCIL WARD SURGERY

The dates of your local ELDC Councillors’ surgery at the Parish Offices are 

Wednesday 9th February 2011 10.00 am-12.00 noon

Wednesday 9th March 2011 2.00 pm-4.00 pm

BULKY ITEMS OF WASTE

If you need to dispose of bulky items of household waste, i.e. refrigerators, freezers, cookers, beds, etc., please contact East Lindsey District Council on 01507 601111 to arrange collection.  The fee is £15.00 for up to 4 items.

WHEELIE BIN COLLECTION                                                                                                                The Green Waste bin to resume 28th March 2011 with the Domestic Waste bin. 

DATE OF NEXT MEETING

The next two Full Council Meetings will be on Monday 21st February and Monday 21st March 2011.  All planning applications can be viewed at 7.15 pm. prior to the meetings. All parishioners are welcome.
