HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL THE PARISHIONERS IN HOLTON-LE-CLAY

SALEOF THE COUNCIL OFFICES The Parish Council offices is in the process of being sold and the new premises at the back of the former Etherington Arms will not be ready until March 2012.  Arrangements are being made to temporarily move the Council Offices to a different location in the village – details in the next Holton News.

VACANCY ON THE PARISH COUNCIL There is one vacancy on the Parish Council.  For further details please contact the Clerk to the Council.

BUS SHELTERS One bus shelter is to be installed through successful part funding from Lincolnshire County Council of 50% of the total installation cost, up to a maximum of £2,000.  It is hoped to secure further funding for the other 2 proposed bus shelters.  Locations not yet approved.

DIAMOND JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS To mark 60 years of the Queen’s reign the Diamond Jubilee will take place in 2012. Following on from the Public meeting the village of Holton-le-Clay will take part in two days of Celebration, on the Saturday 2nd June 2012 from midday until late and also on Monday 4th June 2012 for an evening event.  Details have yet to be confirmed.  A Diamond Jubilee committee is being formed.

DOGS FOULING – Anyone who witnesses dog fouling that they report it to the ELDC on 01507 601111 and ask for Dog Warden or text DOG to 07781481328.  Dog holders are to be responsible and clean up after their pets. This includes all areas of the village in particular 8 Acres Playing Field, the pavements, walkways and the former railway line.  Dog Warden Patrols are now in place to try and catch the offenders.

Reminder– if you do not clean up after your dog, you could incur a £75.00 on the spot fine with a maximum penalty of £1000.00.

DOGS – NO DOGS ALLOWED IN JUNIOR PLAYING FIELDS

HORSES – NO HORSES ALLOWED ON THE 8 ACRES PLAYING FIELD

HORSES – NO HORSE RIDING ON THE PUBLIC FOOTPATHS (WALKWAYS) The public footpaths in the village are not ‘bridle ways’ and should not to be used by horse riders

AMENITY GRASS CUTTING DATES

There will be no grass cutting until March 2012.

EAST LINDSEY DISTRICT COUNCIL FACILITIES DAY

The dates of the forthcoming ELDC Facilities Day are Wednesday 14th December 2011.  9.00 am-1.00 pm and 2.00 pm-4.00 pm  Further dates and new location to be confirmed in the next Holton News.

BULKY ITEMS OF WASTE

If you need to dispose of bulky items of household waste, i.e. refrigerators, freezers, cookers, beds, etc., please contact East Lindsey District Council on 01507 601111 to arrange collection.  The fee is £15.00 for up to 4 items.

WHEELIE BIN COLLECTION                                                                                                               There are different collections over the Christmas and New Year holiday period.  Recycling on either 23rd or 28th December and Domestic Waste bin on 3rd or 4th January 2012.  The Green Waste bin will resume in March 2012.

DATE OF NEXT MEETING FULL COUNCIL MEETINGS

The next two Full Council Meetings will be on Monday 12th December (2nd Mon and Monday 16th January 2012).  All planning applications can be viewed at 7.15 pm. prior to the meetings. All parishioners are welcome.
