Woodland Trust

These photographs were taken of the Wildflower Meadow on Woodland Trust land off Londonthorpe Lane in late July and early August 2007. These results are tremendous for the first year; at least 6 varieties were seen including Oxeye Daisies, Poppies, Cornflower and Campions. In years to come when the Bluebells come through in the spring there will be two flowering seasons to be observed.

The Parish Council was very pleased to be able to assist in the setting up of this facility.

Thanks also go to the children from Belmont School who helped to sow the seeds and plant the bulbs the previous autumn.
