NEW PLAY PARK
Update February 2018
The events working group are in the process of planning the official play park opening, which will take place in the Spring when the weather will hopefully be much drier and warner. Please look out on the noticeboards and facebook page for further details.
Update October 2017
The outstanding equipment is currently being installed and will be complete in the next few days. A new bike rack and a 1.2m high ROSPA spec bow top multi-coloured fence will be installed shortly. The events working group are busy arranging the official opening. So please look out for updates on the website and facebook page. Our thanks again to WREN for the £50,000.00 grant funding, without this money the project would not have happened.
***GREAT NEWS***
Metheringham Parish Council are delighted to announce that the new play park is now open. We hope all the young people enjoy using this fantastic new facility for many years to come.
The on-site construction team are really pleased with the smoothness of the installation, with no issues during their time here. Due to supply issues with the manufacturer 5 pieces of equipment will not be installed until mid August (please see attached poster for details) as a result the Official opening will now take place in September.
The Parish Council have tried very hard to improve facilities on the field. Along with the new play park there is the Skate park and tennis court and of course your community swimming pool. Please make use of these and all the other facilities your village has to offer.
The parish council would like to express our thanks to WREN, without the grant the new play park would not have been possible.

Proposed New Play Park Equipment Prince’s Street
The play park equipment currently in use at the Prince’s Street play park is coming to the end of its useful life and therefore needs replacing.
During 2016 the parish council consulted with potential user groups and residents within the village to obtain their views and opinions on the project.
The parish council utilized this information to select play pieces and obtained quotations, whilst applying for grant funding from WREN. This application was successful and a grant of £50,000.00 was awarded towards the new play equipment.
The quotations have been received and the preferred supplier selected. HAGS will commence the installation on 23rd June, an official opening date will be announced soon.
Office Opening hours: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 09:30 -13:00
