Draft Plan
Inaugural meeting Saturday April 28 at 2pm in Morton Village Hall called by Councillor Lesley Rollings
1. AIM
To improve and promote public transport in and around Gainsborough
2. PURPOSE
To act as a pressure group and to disseminate information on public transport
3. MEMBERSHIP
3.1 Membership is open to anyone who lives works or travels in this area.
Corporate membership is also available to organisations and businesses in this area.
3.2 Membership fees shall be determined annually at the AGM.
3.3 The Committee reserve the right to refuse membership subject to an appeal to the AGM or an EGM called for the purpose.
4. COMMUNICATION
Members shall receive a copy of GraB News quarterly (March, June, September, and December) and at other times as shall be appropriate, electronically or in print.
5. ORGANISATION
5.1 GraB shall hold an Annual General Meeting in May at which the Committee shall be elected consisting of a Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, News Editor and other committee members being no less than 3 and no more than three per cent of the total membership whichever is the greatest.
5.2 The AGM shall appoint an Auditor.
5.3 The AGM shall approve a plan of objectives.
5.4 Six members or five percent of the membership which ever is the less may call an Extraordinary General Meeting on giving the Secretary 28 days notice.
5.5 The Committee shall publish an annual calendar of ordinary meetings at which speakers shall be invited to make presentations. The Committee may call extra meetings at short notice for the purpose of receiving presentations on matters of current concern.
5.6 The committee shall pursue issues as defined in the GraB plan.
6. PLAN
6.1 GraB shall have a Plan of objectives in three time spans:
Short Term (12 months form the date of the AGM),
Medium Term (36 months)
Long Term ( up to 5 years)
6.2 The plan shall cover bus, rail and where appropriate co-ordination between transport modes and new technologies.
