Village Plans

The Nocton Parish Plan was formally adopted by the Parish Council in May 2013.  The Plan, which was the culmination of over a year’s hard work by a group of residents (CLAN – Community Led Action for Nocton) is an invaluable document which assists the Parish Council in determining future policies and priorities to improve the life and well-being of the village over the coming years.

We have also started the process with Potterhanworth Parish Council of preparing a Neighbourhood Plan covering our two villages. This will be a critical document in determining how much housing and other development we wish to see in our area and where any such development should be located.

In addition, your Parish Council works hard to improve the day-to-day village environment.  A document setting out the current issues which have been identified as requiring attention is attached.  We would encourage you to provide feedback on areas of concern so that we can target our energies on sorting out problems quickly and effectively.  We have appointed a Village Keeper to assist us in this mission.

N.B: Our main area for concern continues to be the dilapidated state of the Grade II Listed Nocton Hall and grounds.  We continue to work closely with North Kesteven District Council to find a satisfactory solution to this.
