RETENTION OF PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY - FOOTPATH 18 Donna Nook to Grainthorpe via Pye's Hall Sluice Bridge

The Public Enquiry was held on 26th and 27th June 2018 at the Kenwick Park Hotel Louth.

Although the decision was that the Environment Agency can breach the existing route at Pye's Hall in accordance with the planning permission granted by East Lindsey District Council, they were not allowed to remove the right to walk the remainder of the route either side of the breach.  Therefore the right of the public to walk along Footpath 18 along the beach from Stonebridge to Pye's Hall (but not over the bridge which will be breached) remains.  The Parish Council would like to thank all those that took part in objecting to the removal of this right, nd giving evidence to the inquiry, which means that the right to walk along this beautiful beach path is now safeguarded for future generations to continue to enjoy.
