Dedication of Memorial
On the 4th October 1943, Lancaster ED583, during a test flight from RAF Waltham, crashed in the middle of North Thoresby. All the crew were killed but, miraculously, there were no civilian casualties.The dedication of the memorial to the crew of the RAF Lancaster took place on Sunday 4th September 2005.
