War Memorial and church
This section of our village website is currently under construction. The first task is to identify all of these men and so information will be added on a regular basis. Please come back and take another look from time to time.
Northorpe War Memorial stands in the grounds of St. John the Baptist's Church. It was erected after the Great War to commemorate the five men of our village who gave their lives and also the twelve who served in and thankfully survived the conflict. The East facing side lists those who died whilst the North and West faces show the others who enlisted. Sadly the names of two more fallen heroes were placed at the base of the South facing side following World War 2.
These pages are dedicated to their memory.
If you have any information about these brave men please contact Andrew (01724 763835).
