Welcome to the Welby Parish Council website which aims to ensure parishioners are kept up to date on Parish Council matters. 

Welby is a small quaint village within the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, It lies 4.5 miles north-east of Grantham with a population of approximately 169 in 82 households the (2011 census). 

Welby Parish Council  comprises of 5 elected unpaid Councillors who work collectively to represent the interests of the community and have responsibilities for reviewing and commenting on planning application, reporting of highway/footpath issues, providing insurance for parish council assets and activities, overseeing street lighting issues, maintenance of the village green and roadside verges including the planting of trees shrubs/flowers and other parish matters.

There is also a Clerk for Welby Parish Council who's role is to manage administration and finances, including publishing agendas, producing minutes, liaising with local and district councils and other relevant third parties and as the Responsible Financial Officer to balance the books.

Welby Parish Council welcomes and values involvement in parish affairs by all parishioners.   Any concerns, suggestions or comments can be raised by:

  • attending parish council meetings which are held bi-monthly. the next meeting is on the 27th March 2018 at Lordship Farm on Main Street, Welby.
