Welcome to West Deeping

The village of West Deeping

  • is on the border of Lincolnshire with Cambridgeshire, in South Kesteven, just off the A1175, between Stamford and Market Deeping.
  • is the smallest of the four Deepings; has about 120 homes, and 225 names on the electoral register for 2012.
  • is first recorded around 1086 in the Domesday survey, but there were prehistoric settlements here from the Stone Age, through to Roman times.

This community website is run by West Deeping Parish Council to provide a single reference point for village residents and visitors

  • to provide information about the community, its organisations and activities
  • to enable residents to contact members of the Parish Council and to have access to information about meetings, consultation documents and its role in local amenities

This site is listed in the British Towns and Villages Encyclopaedia of Great Britain and we can be found in the entry for West Deeping. http://www.british-towns.net/england/eastern/lincolnshire/south-kesteven/west-deeping
