St Andrews Church. Coffee Morning Saturday 20thApril. 10.30am-12noon WDVH. Please note that from the beginning of April all Sunday morning services will start at 11.00am. There will be no All Age Service in April at 10.30am followed by refreshments. Flowers. If you can help with the coffee morning or flower arranging please sign up in the church noticeboard or talk to Colin on 07946004893.

Annual Church Meetings. The following meetings will take place on Monday 8th April, 7:00 pm in St Andrew’s Church:

1.            Meeting for election of churchwardens from eligible nominated candidates by those residents on the local government register of electors and those on the church electoral roll of the parish.

2.            Annual Parochial Church Meeting. For those on the church electoral roll of the parish to elect the Parochial Church Council (PCC) and to receive annual reports.

3.            PCC Meeting for the newly elected council to deal with immediate business.

Church Spring Clean Saturday 6th April from 10.00am-noon. We would appreciate your support – tea, coffee and cleaning materials will be provided.

Concert. April Moods 13th April 7.30pm presented by The Noteables in St. Andrew’s Church. The concert will include a performance of Haydn’s Little Organ Mass, for which the soloist will be Glenys Page. The choir will sing items to celebrate both the Easter season and the return of spring, by a wide range of composers as diverse as Bob Chilcott, John Rutter, Will Todd and Rodgers & Hammerstein. There will also be a number of solos sung by members of the choir. Tickets £8.00 for adults and £1 for children to the age of 16 are available from the church, from choir members or on the door.

WD Walkers. Sundays. Meet at the Village Hall at 2.00pm. 7th April and 21st April are local walks. Contact: Annie: 01778 346805, annie.new@me.com  Walkers Supper 12th April 7pm hosted by Emma and Keith at 4 The Lane. 01778 345506. People bring a dish and a drink and we plan walks for the next 6 months. Everyone from the village is invited.

West Deeping Heritage Group Tuesday 30th April. 7 for 7.30pm WDVH. Stephanie Bradshaw and Andrea Togher, volunteers for around seven years for Nene Coppicing and Crafts  talk about coppicing.  This is a traditional, sustainable and productive form of woodland management- Stephanie and Andrea will present a brief history of coppicing in general and some information on coppicing locally. Skills associated with coppicing range from charcoal burning to chair making. Admission £2.50 includes refreshments. Details from Maggie Ashcroft 01778 344768.

Rambling Readers meet on the last Friday of the month in WDVH. A new book each month is supplied by Lincolnshire Libraries, please talk to Elizabeth at 01778 344674.
