This listing is compiled for the monthly parish magazine, Towers and Spires.  It is updated at the beginning of every month, but if there is anything to add please contact or submit the details yourself by going to the Events Calendar link near the bottom of the  lefthand menu.

St Andrews Church. Easter Day, Sunday 1st April at 10.30 am will be an All Age Communion Service followed by refreshments. The monthly All Age Service is on Sunday 15th April at 10.30am. Everyone welcome. Contact Colin, 01778 348709; 


Annual Church Meeting: Thefollowing meetings will take place on Monday 9th April, 7.00 pm in St Andrew's Church:

1. Meeting for election of churchwardens from eligible nominates candidates by those residents on the local government register of electors and those on the church electoral roll of the parish.

2. Annual Parochial Church Meeting. For those on the church electoral roll of the parish to elect the Parochial Church Council (PCC) and to receive annual reports.

3. PCC Meeting for the newly elected council to deal with immediate business.


Litter Pick.Saturday 31st March. 2pm. Walkers started this twice-yearly event, but we need lots of support from everyone. Please try and come. Meet outside No 43 King Street. If you have a reflective waist coat or helping hand picker please bring it along. Annie: 01778 346805,


WD Walkers.Sundays. 8th April at 2.00pm is a local walk.  Sunday 22nd April will be led by Annie. Meet at the Village Hall. Main contact: Annie: 01778 346805,  Walkers Supper Saturday 21st April 7pm at Iain and Jean’s, 7 The Lane.  01778 346779. People bring a dish and a drink and we plan the walks for the next 6 months. Everyone from the village is invited to join us.


Bible Studies. Tuesdays. 3rd and  17th April and 1st May at 2.45 for 3pm at Cromwell House.. Details from Susanna Aldred on 01778 380014.


Coffee Morning. Saturday 14th April. 10.30am-12noon WDVH for St Andrew’s Church. Raffle, cake/produce stall. Children’s activities. All are welcome.


West Deeping Heritage Group.Wednesday 18th April WDVH 7.00pm for 7.30pm.  Kate Witney “Voices from the Past – folk songs as historical sources”. Lincolnshire folk singer Kate visited West Deeping Heritage Group in November 2016 to talk about and perform the music of the 14th century illuminated manuscript commissioned by Geoffrey Luttrell, the Luttrell Psalter. Despite a horrid cold and sore throat she charmed the audience, so we invited her back, in the hope she will be in full voice! Entry £2.50 includes refreshments – no need to book.


Rambling Readers. Friday 27th April. 7.45pm. WDVH. If you are interested in reading a new book each month supplied by Lincolnshire Libraries please talk to Elizabeth at 01778 344674.
