St Andrews Church

All Age Service Sunday 21st July at 11.00am followed by light refreshments. Please note that all Sunday morning services now start at 11.00am. There will be no service at West Deeping on Sunday 28th July. If you are able to support the church in any way, please talk to Colin Blagrove on 07946004893. Parish Council Meeting Monday 15th July 7.30pm WDVH.All residents are very welcome to attend to hear how we deal with matters affecting our village and to raise any issues that they would like the Parish Council to consider.

Coffee morning Sat. 20th July WDVH in aid of St Andrew’s Church. 10.30am-12noon.

Rambling Readers (Book Club) meet on the last Friday of the month in WDVH. A new book each month is supplied by Lincolnshire Libraries. We are also sharing copies of the 2018 Man Booker Prize short list. Please talk to Elizabeth on 01778 344674

Carpet Bowls Club. The group meets on Thursday evenings in the Village Hall. See centre pages. Chairperson: June Thomas 01778 343434.

Parish Council Event. "PC100" Sunday 28th July, Henry Tinsley Field 2-4pm. A family-friendly village gathering to celebrate the Centenary of West Deeping Parish Council, which first met in July 1919. Info from Melanie James, 01778 380197 or Maggie Ashcroft 01778 344768.

Nature Notes: There was a magnificent display of cowslips in the Henry Tinsley Field in May, followed by cow parsley in June. Two bee orchids flowered in St Andrew’s Churchyard. Also, large amounts of creeping cinquefoil have appeared on the verges and in the churchyard. These are colourful, and good for butterflies.
