Aslackby St James Church across fields

The idyllic parish of Aslackby and Laughton lies on the A15 between Bourne and Sleaford and has 243 residents (Census 2001). In the heart of Aslackby lies the magnificant 14th century church of St James the Great. Alslackby also has several other interesting features including the Manor House dating back to the 17th century and a site of a preceptory for the Knights Templars.

The village is very active with several social occassions throughout the year (see Events Calender). There is also a strong community involvement with many residents helping to make events a success.

At the end of Aveland Way in Asklackby lies a disused WWII airfield and Temple Woods with many walks and trails where, if lucky, you will see deer and other wildlife.
