Dog Fouling

DOG WARDENS NOW OPERATE IN BARDNEY AND SOUTHREY - they have the power to fine anyone who is found not to be picking up their dogs poo.

Dog poo is an issue that blights all villages.

Whilst some people simply do not clear it up, others are going to the trouble of putting it into bags then throwing the bags into dykes, hedges and in some cases even trees Over the last few years West Lindsey District Council have installed additional 'poo bins' around our area at the request of the parish council. These bins are then emptied on a weekly basis by WLDC  There is no excuse for not picking up your dog's mess and putting it in the bins provided. Although several people walk dogs around the allotments and the field in Bardney, it must be highlighted that this area is not a public footpath and BGPC do request that dogs are kept on a lead. If parishioners wish to keep walking their dogs there they must pick up their mess and dispose of in the bins provided. If they do not adhere to this, the parish council may stop dog walkers using this area. It is also noted that similar problems are encountered in Southrey Please remember that if your dog fouls you pay the fine, not the dog!. Public Space Protection Orders are in place in our area and as such if you are caught allowing your do to foul then you can be fined.  Ignorance is no defence.

Please assist BGPC in keeping all our villages clean
