Part of the Commemorative Tapestry

This Sunday see's the 100th Anniversary of the ending of WW1. The Town has come together to in order to create a lasting memorial to the sacrifices made by the people of Bourne.

The project supported by Bourne Town Council and the Len Pick Trust represents one of the largest community projects ever undertaken in the area.

The result is a four and a half meter work depicting images of the soldiers and hand embroidered names of all the men who lost their lives in the great war.

Sue Rowland, who conceived the project, has lead workshops and coordinated the tapestry with children from local schools, residents from local care homes and many other willing volunteers.

The project will be on display in the Town Hall over the weekend of the 10th/11th November see attached notice for further information.
