Dahlia's

For all gardening interested folk in the Springline area of Lincolnshire. We meet every second Wednesday of the month at the Dambusters Inn Scampton.

Update February 2018

Are you passionate about perennials, barmy about bulbs or just enjoy your garden? Then why not come along to the Springline Gardening Club? We are a small group and meet on the second Wednesday of the month usually at the Dambusters Inn, Scampton. We have lots of interesting speakers and particularly in the summer months, visit gardens of interest both in Lincolnshire and further afield. We have an interest- ing and varied programme planned for 2018 so why not come along on 14 February at 7.30 pm to find out more?

Meanwhile here are a few things that you might want to be doing in your garden in February;

*  Cut back late summer/autumn flowering clematis (group 3) to 12 inches from ground level.

* Bare root roses are still available but need planting as soon as possible.

* Lily bulbs can still be planted.

* Mulch shrubs, trees, hedges and climbers after pruning.

* If your lawn has a problem with algae and lichen, spike with a garden fork or for a larger lawn hire an aerator!

Finally please don’t forget wildlife and continue feeding garden birds! For more information you can ring Liz Green on (01522 730079)
