I have lived in Butterwick Since 1986 and have served on the Parish Council from 2003, acting as Chairman since May 2007.  I am married with two sons, who both attended the village school. I am the Chairman of the Park Green Project Committee and actively involved with the day to day running and maintenance of the Butterwick Park.

Darren Dower - I was co-opted onto the council in February 2010 and I am proud to be a member of the Parish Council.  My wife and I have lived in Peter Paine Close since 2003 and now consider Butterwick to be home and where we want to raise our family.  We both work full time in healthcare and take an active interest in local events and St Andrew’s Church, and are keen to contribute to the community in which we live.

Mike Knowles - Vice Chairman  (Parish Council Representative on the Village Hall Committee) -  I was born in 1954 and educated at Market Harborough Grammar School.  I joined the Army in 1972 and, following training, served with 3 Para, The Red Devils, 2 Para and The Army Air Corps.  I retired from the Army in 1995 having achieved the position of Sgt Major and settled in Butterwick.

I am married to Caroline and we have 3 children.  The two youngest were educated at Butterwick Primary School and my wife is a local school nurse.  I am now retired and my hobbies include flying and golf but my greatest relaxation comes from reading a good book.

The village has given my family and I a sense of stability since we moved here (following 12 house moves whilst serving in the army) and I am very pleased and honoured to have the opportunity to help keep our village a nice place to live.

Kevin Forman   -  I have lived in the village with my wife Brenda since 1979. During this time we have brought up two children, Daniel and Michelle, who both attended Butterwick Primary School. For the past 6 years I have been a parish councillor and am also a member of the Park Green Project committee. I have also worked in the village, since 1968, for Marshalls of Butterwick.

Carol Smith – I have lived in Butterwick for 46 years.  I have served on the current Parish Council since November 2006, although I was on in previous years and take a great interest in the activities of the village.

I am chairman of Happy Circle and Vice Chairman of The Village Committee.

I am President of Burgh Short Mat Bowls and I am a member of Boston Bowling Club, and I am also a member of Boston West Golf Club.  I enjoy the WI being a member of Sibsey WI,
I enjoy gardening and I am a member of Wrangle and Rochford Tower Clubs, and also Boston Flower Club.

Marjorie Ann Quickfall (known as Ann) – Highways Representative – I have lived in Butterwick since retiring from the army where I attained the rank of Major.  On leaving school I trained as a nurse in Sheffield before moving to Wimbledon.  I was commissioned into the QARANC in 1980, served in Aldershot, Woolwich, Catterick, Hong Kong, Cyprus, Germany, Northern Ireland; and was awarded the ARRC in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List in 1988.  Since retiring in 2003 I have been actively involved with various aspects of Village life; Secretary of the Village Hall Committee, Sunday School Teacher for 11 years, Treasurer of the Butterwick with Benington PCC, and also many fund raising activities.  I am a keen bowler and enjoy several crafting hobbies.  I strongly believe in community and village life and to that end am pleased and honoured to serve on the Parish Council.

Nigel Donnelley - I have lived in Butterwick for 30 years and have been on the Parish Council since 2015.  I retired from the Civil Service after 32 and I worked at Pilgrim Hospital for 6 years and retired from there in 2011.  I have three sons who all went The Giles School.
