Village Hall

Carlton Le Moorland Village Hall

Over recent years, the Parish Council has sought the views of residents about the future of the Village Hall as part of an Awards for All grant received to deliver a 'Sustaining and Enhancing our Community activity' . This information has been used to inform a further National Lottery application to seek funding to redevelop the village hall to improve the existing facilities. Residents and supporters have raised in excess of £15,000 towards this project during this time.

The Parish Council is delighted to announce that in September 2017, the National Lottery has made an award of £500,000 towards the replacement of our Village Hall!  The agreed total project is £582,000 so this award is a major step towards our goal. The Council has worked extremely hard for five years to secure this grant - it is a big achievement.
We know that the Lottery were impressed by the enthusiasm of residents and the tireless work of the Fundraising Group.  Thanks to all!

We still have £50,000 still to find before the project can get underway and are looking into how this can be achieved. The Council is in the process of applying for two grants - an EU grant and a WREN grant - and are optimistic that one or both with be successful. SEE FUNDING THE HALL NEWS (FEB 2018) BELOW
