The hamlet of Brauncewell is situated some 2 miles west of the original village.

The original village now has few traces of the medieval location other than a Manor House and a redundant church.

Brauncewell has buildings from the 17th Century onwards and only one built within the last 100 years.
It is a good example of a self contained agricultural unit of past years. This includes two farm houses, a number of labourers cottages, a forge, horse gin, wheel wrights workshop, crew yards, stables and large storage barns.
