Notification of temporary traffic restrictions on

8th November 2020 – 1030am to 1130am for Remembrance Day Event

As in previous years, Heckington will hold the Remembrance Day Service at the War Memorial on the Village Green, followed by a Remembrance Service in St Andrews Church.

In order to maintain the safety of those taking part, we are required to implement authorised temporary traffic restrictions on the following roads.

High Street         -              from the Co-op junction to Shrubwood Close

Church Street    -              from the High Street junction to Churchill Way

St Andrews St    -              from Church Street to Eastgate

Advance warning signs will be placed two weeks prior to the event, and other warning road signs and barriers will be place on the day as per legal requirements.  Through traffic will be directed by marshalls via an alternative route of Eastgate/Cameron Street and Churchill Way.

As a resident of this road, if you should require access during this short time, please speak with a marshall manning the barrier who may be able to assist.

We hope that you are not inconvenienced greatly by these restrictions, but feel sure you will understand the importance keeping safe those who wish to mark Remembrance Day.

Please note : Emergency vehicles will not be affected by these restrictions.
