VACANCY - ASSISTANT PARISH CLERK

Nettleham Parish Council invites applications from suitably experienced persons for the position of Assistant Parish Clerk - for 18 hours per week.

Salary £18,065 - £20,344 per annum (pro rata) - with pay award pending 

Working as part of a small and dedicated team, a flexible approach is essential as occasional attendance at evening meetings is required.  You will be a self-starter, able to work independently and use your own initiative, be highly organised and committed to delivering excellent customer service.

The responsibilities associated with this role include: - reception duties, liaison with hirers and taking bookings for the council’s premises, handling and accounting for payments, preparing invoices and customer statements using the Council’s financial management IT software, general administration, supporting the Parish Clerk in delivery of the council’s functions with preparation for and attendance at meetings, taking and typing up of minutes, maintaining records, and ensuring that all legal requirements are complied with.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a customer facing role, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  They will also be experienced and competent in using computer packages such as word and excel and social media.
