01/07/16 Notice of Vacancy for Parish Councillor

Due to the resignation of Charles Allen a vacancy has arisen for a further Parish Councillor. Parishioners have until 21st July to request an election. If an election is called it will be held no later than 26th September 2016. Please see the Vacancies & Tenders page for further information.


30th June 2016 - Accounts for the year ending 31 March 2016

Notices for the status of published accounts and for the commencement of the period for the exercise of public rights, for the financial year ending 31 March 2016 have now been published.

These can be found on the Parish Council notice board or alternatively can be viewed by clicking on the 'Parish Finance' option to the left of this page, and then on the 'Council Audit' option. Both documents can be accessed by clicking on the appropriate link in the table.


29th June 2016 - Election of Chairman

At the Extraordinary Full Council meeting held on 28th June 2016, Cllr Paul Roberts was elected as the new Chairman of the Parish Council. The Parish Clerk was appointed to the role of RFO (Responsible Finance Officer), as per best practice recommendations.

24th June 2016 - Notice of Election (two Parish Councillor vacancies)

An Election is to be held for two Parish Councillors for Saxilby with Ingleby Parish Council. Forms of nomination will be available from West Lindsey District Council from 27th June 2016 and need to be returned to them no later than 4:00 pm on Friday 15th July 2016. If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 11th August 2016.

19th May - Councillor Resignation

John Smithson has resigned as Parish Councillor so there is currently a vacancy on the Saxilby with Ingleby Parish Council. Official notices of the vacancy will be posted by 25th May 2016.


13th May - Notice of Referendum

A referendum will he held on Thursday 23rd June 2016 to decide whether the United Kingdom should remain a member of the European Union or whether it should leave. For more information for voters please see attachment further down this page.


5th May - Election of Chairman

At the Full Council meeting on 4th May 2016, Cllr Peter Odam was elected as Chairman of the Parish Council. Cllrs David Cotton and Paul Roberts were elected as Vice Chairmen.


28th April - Notice of Uncontested Election

Notice has been received from West Lindsey District Council that the election due to be held on 26th May 2016 has been uncontested and Patrick Nicholson has been duly elected as Parish Councillor for Saxilby with Ingleby Parish Council.

18th April - Annual Parish Meeting

The Saxilby with Ingleby Annual Parish Meeting will be held in the St Andrews Centre, Saxilby at 7:00 pm on Wednesday 27th April. Refreshments will be available from 6:45 pm.

22nd March - Election to be held for one parish councillor

16th March - Easter Holiday activities at St Andrews Community Centre

Please book your place through Hurricane Sports (www.hurricanesports.co.uk). There is also an offer of lunch and unlimited drinks for children at £5 per day if you purchase a wrist band from St Andrews Community Centre.

9th March - Flood Warning for Fossdyke Canal and River Till

The Environment Agency has this afternoon issued a flood warning for the Fossdyke Canal from Torksey Lock to Lincoln and for the River Till. Tributaries may also affect Saxilby, Harby, Wigsley and Skellingthorpe.

8th March - Councillor Resignation

Sue Speirs has resigned as a Parish Councillor. Details of the vacancy will be published in line with WLDC guidance and are available on the Vacancies and Tenders page using the links on the left hand side.

4th March - Election of Councillor

Paul Roberts has been duly elected as Parish Councillor. For details of the results please see the attachment at the bottom of the page.


22nd February - Notice of Poll

A poll for the election of a Parish Councillor for Saxilby with Ingleby will be held on Thursday 3 March 2016, between the hours of 7:00 am and 10:00 pm. The Polling Station will be at the Village Hall, High Street, Saxilby. See the Vacancies & Tenders page for more details.

2nd February - upcoming changes to volunteer supported library sessions

From Tuesday 9th February 2016 there will no longer be any volunteer supported sessions on a Tuesday afternoon. However from 18th February 2016 there will be volunteer supported sessions on Thursday mornings from 10am - 1pm. A schedule of revised volunteer supported sessions will be posted once these changes come into effect.

1st February - Library systems back

The library systems are now back up and running and available to use. This includes the public access PCs, RFID self-service kiosk and access to the CSC by phone. The Multi Function Device (printer/scanner/copier) is still out of action.

29th January - Library update

As a result of the security issues Lincolnshire County Council have been having with their IT systems this week we have been instructed to shut down all the IT equipment in the library until further notice. This includes the RFID self-service kiosk, the public access PCs, the library management PC used by the volunteers and the Multi Function Device (printer/scanner/copier). At the moment we do not know when the IT systems will be back up so please check this website for further updates next week.

When volunteers are on duty in the library they will be able to issue and return books manually but no other library functions will be available. When there are no volunteers on duty, unfortunately we may need to close the library. These are exceptional circumstances and we'll be up and running properly again as soon as we are notified that we can use the IT systems again.

Parish Meeting & Neighbourhood Plan Consultation event - Friday 5th February 2016 in Saxilby Village Hall

The Parish Meeting will be held from 7:00pm - 8:00pm and is your opportunity to come and meet your Parish Councillors and ask questions.

The Neighbourhood Plan Consultation event will be held from 3:00pm - 7:00pm and then from 8:00pm - 9:00pm. Please see the Village Events page for more details.

Notice of Election for Councillor Vacancy

An election is to be held for the vacancy on the Parish Council. Forms of nomination will be available from West Lindsey District Council (via their website or in person) from 28th January 2016. 13th January Advance Notification of Road Improvements

Location: B1190 between Gainsborough Road and Station Road

Reason for works: Essential carriageway maintenance

Commencement date: 15/02/16

Approximate duration of works: 2 weeks

The above works will be carried out under a daytime road closure between 7am and 5pm with a diversion route.

11th January Notification of Temporary Road Closure

We have received the following notification from Lincolnshire County Council:

Location: B1241 Sturton Road (Broxholme Lane to Cowdale Lane), Ingleby

Reason for closure: Essential maintenance works

Period of closure: 31/01/16 to 07/02/16 (Sundays only). Closures to be implemented as and when required in each location during this period, signage detailing accurate dates and times will be displayed on site in advance).

Alternative route: Local diversion routes and access arrangements will be signposted.

10th January 2016 New Chairman

At the Full Council meeting on 6th January, Cllr Peter Odam was elected as Chairman, following the resignation of Cllr Alison Clubley from this position. Cllr Clubley is still a Parish Councillor.

22nd December Proposed Precept for 2016-17

At the Extraordinary Full Council meeting on 21st December it was agreed to propose a precept for 2016-17 of £158,654. This is a 0% change to this year's precept
