VANDALISM – The Junior Playing Fields safety equipment located at the see saw has been vandalised with repair costs of £300.  A reminder that the safety surface is in place for the safety of children who use the playground equipment.

NEW COUNCIL OFFICES The new Council Offices are now located to the rear of the former Etherington Arms PH (Village Hall) on Pinfold Lane.  The Parish Council Opening times are listed at the What? Where? When? section of magazine.

WALL OF REMEMBRANCE is held in the Holton-le-Clay Cemetery.  Please contact the Clerk to the Council on 01472 825467 for any enquiries to have a plaque erected.

DOGS FOULING

We ask all dog holders to be responsible and clean up after their pets. This includes all areas of the village in particular the pavements, walkways and the former railway line.  If anyone witnesses dog fouling they are to report it to the ELDC on 01507 601111 and ask for Dog Warden or text DOG to 07781481328.                                                                                                                 

Reminder– if you do not clean up after your dog, you could incur a £75.00 on the spot fine with a maximum penalty of £1000.00.

HEDGES AND TREES – It is an offence to let your hedges and trees encroach onto Public Footpaths and Rights of Way.  Offenders leave themselves open to prosecution, compensation for injury to pedestrians, and the cost of having trees and hedges cut back by the local authorities.  Parishioners are therefore kindly requested to check for any overhanging hedges and trees from their properties and arrange for them to be cut back.  

GRASS VERGES 

Car owners/drivers are requested to not park on the grass verges but to use their driveways whenever possible or on the road.

AMENITY GRASS CUTTING                                                                                                                 

Grass cutting and strimming will start the week beginning W/C 3rd and 17th September 2012.  Please keep all verges clear on these dates.

EAST LINDSEY DISTRICT COUNCIL FACILITIES DAY

The dates of the forthcoming ELDC Facilities Day are Wednesday 12th September 2012 and 10th October 2012. 9.00 am-1.00 pm and 2.00 pm-4.00 pm

EAST LINDSEY DISTRICT COUNCIL WARD SURGERY – 3rd WEDS  There is a change in the surgery schedule from a 2nd to the 3rd Wednesday of each month.  The dates of your local ELDC Councillors’ surgery at the Parish Offices are 

Wednesday 19th September 2012 2.00 pm-4.00 pm                                                                                                

Wednesday 17th October 2012 10.00 am-12.00 noon

BULKY ITEMS OF WASTE

If you need to dispose of bulky items of household waste, i.e. refrigerators, freezers, cookers, beds, etc., please contact East Lindsey District Council on 01507 601111 to arrange collection.  The fee is £15.00 for up to 4 items.

DATE OF NEXT FULL COUNCIL MEETINGS                                                                                 New start time of 7.00 pm.

The next two Full Council Meetings will be on 17th September 2012 and 15th October 2012. All planning applications can be viewed at 6.45 pm. prior to the meetings.  All parishioners are welcome.
