NEW VILLAGE HALL PROJECT UPDATE The renovation is progressing well.  The ground floor facilities are due to be open the end of March 2014.

PARISH COUNCIL VACANCY – There is a vacancy on the council for a Parish Councillor, which is a voluntary role.  For further information please contact the Clerk to the Council on 01472 825467 or visit the Council Offices at the Village Hall on Pinfold Lane.  

HEDGES AND TREES – It is an offence to let your hedges and trees encroach onto Public Footpaths and Rights of Way.  Parishioners are therefore kindly requested to check for any overhanging hedges and trees from their properties and arrange for them to be cut back.

GRASS VERGES 

Car owners/drivers are requested not to park on the grass verges but to use their driveways whenever possible or on the road.

REMINDER – THE JUNIOR PLAYING FIELD IS AN AREA OF NO ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION AND NO DOGS.

DATE OF NEXT FULL COUNCIL MEETINGS – 7.00 PM

The next two Full Council meetings will be on Monday 17th February 2014 and Monday 17th March 2014.  Parishioners are welcome to attend all Council and committee meetings.

PARISH COUNCIL FINANCES:  As at 20th January 2014.  General Account £73,731.03 and Burial Account £5,091.38 (Reserves Ring Fenced for future - New Village Hall renovation £34,850.00 and PWLB Loan Repayments £18,400.00).                   

ELDC DOG WARDEN It has been reported to the ELDC Dog Warden about the amount of dog mess on the grass at the junction of Picksley Crescent/Southfield Road, where there will now be patrols to try and catch the offender/s.  PART of being a responsible dog owner is clearing up after them.  You can now dispose of dog faeces in all litter bins within the District so there really is no excuse not to pick up after your pet.

GREEN WASTE COLLECTIONS – Residents are reminded that they will need to opt into the new collection service for the 2014-15 year to guarantee collections fortnightly starting from 31st March 2014 at a charge of £25 per year.  To sign up visit www.e-lindsey.gov.uk/greenwaste or call 0800 0855037.  Details of what can and can’t be put in the bins are listed in the East Lindsey Messenger magazine January – April 2014.
