BEST KEPT VILLAGE COMPETITION

The Parish has entered the competition with judging June, July and August.  It has been noted the improvements to the village and the parish could do well this year.  With a little hard work and community spirit it could be achieved to do just as well as in 2009 being second in the Category III or even better! DISTRICT WARD COUNCILLORS ELECTIONS PLUS THE REFERENDUM ON THE VOTING SYSTEM FOR UNITED KINGDOM PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS – THURSDAY 5TH MAY 2011 between 7.00 am to 10.00 pm in the Council Offices, Peppercorn Walk.

ADULT VOLUNTEERS FOR YOUTH CLUB

The Youth Club has an average 50 young people attend each week and is looking out for more volunteers.  Please contact the Council Offices or visit the Youth Club on a Friday night - 7.00 pm – 9.00 pm Community Centre.

GRASS VERGES 

Car owners/drivers are requested to kindly not park on the grass verges but to use their driveways whenever possible or on the road. 

DOGS FOULING

We ask all dog holders to be responsible and clean up after their pets. This includes all areas of the village in particular the pavements, walkways and the old railway line.  If anyone witnesses dog fouling they are to report it to the ELDC on 01507 601111 and ask for Dog Warden or text DOG to 07781481328.                                                                                                                  Reminder – if you do not clean up after your dog, you could incur a £75.00 on the spot fine with a maximum penalty of £1000.00.

DOGS – NO DOGS ALLOWED IN JUNIOR PLAYING FIELDS

A reminder that dogs are not allowed in the Junior Playing Fields – this is the small green area where the children’s playground equipment is in between Garthway and Louth Road.

AMENITY GRASS CUTTING DATES

W/C 11th and 26th April 2011, 9th and 16th May 2011(weather permitting)

EAST LINDSEY DISTRICT COUNCIL FACILITIES DAY

The dates of the forthcoming ELDC Facilities Day are Wednesday 11th May 2011. 9.00 am-1.00 pm and 2.00 pm-4.00 pm and Wednesday 8th June 2011.

The dates of your local ELDC Councillors’ surgery at the Parish Offices are

WHEELIE BIN COLLECTION                                                                                                               The Green Waste bin resumed 28th March 2011 and 4th April 2011 depending in which street you live in.  Either with the Recycling bin or Domestic Waste bin.  Please check your Waste Collection card for collection in your street.

DATE OF NEXT MEETING FULL COUNCIL MEETINGS

The next two Full Council Meetings will be on Monday 16th May 2011 (Annual Council meeting) and Monday 20th June 2011.  All planning applications can be viewed at 7.15 pm. prior to the meetings. All parishioners are welcome.
