DRAFT COMMUNITY EMERGENCY PLAN This has been produced which is a controlled document and contains information to be used during an emergency incident affecting the Community in Holton-le-Clay.  To finalise the plan we need your help! If you would like to be part of the ‘Community Emergency Management Team’ (EMT) or can help with contact numbers and resource requirements to support the local community in a broad range of crises please contact the Clerk to the Council on 01472 825467.  Details to be included in the plan; Vulnerable People, Medical and First Aid, Equipment, Transport, Emergency Accommodation, Privately-Owned Generators, Plant and Clearance Equipment and facilities for the Emergency Services.      

FIRST CONTACT IN LINCOLNSHIRE– STAY SAFE & INDEPENDENT                    First Contact is a service which allows people aged 60 and over to access a range of information and advice to help them stay safe and well in their home through one point of contact.  Customers can fill in a simple checklist either attached to one of the First Contact leaflets, with a trained member of staff or on the phone with a First Contact Central Coordinator based at the Council's Customer Service Centre.

SALE OF THE COUNCIL OFFICES The sale should take place within 2 months and it is hoped that the Clerk to the Council and ELDC Customer Services will continue to use the current Council Offices and transfer to the new offices once refurbishments are completed at the rear of the former Etherington Arms PH.  This is to avoid any disruption to the current services.    

HORSES – NO HORSE RIDING ON THE 8 ACRES PLAYING FIELD AND ON THE PUBLIC FOOTPATHS (WALKWAYS) The public footpaths in the village are not ‘bridle ways’ and should not to be used by horse riders.

BUS SHELTERS The new bus shelter on Pinfold Lane to be installed 25th January 2012.  It is hoped to install 2 more bus shelters in the near future.

DIAMOND JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS The Parish Council have decided not to hold an event over the bank holiday weekend 2-5 June 2012.                                                                                                       

DOG WATCH SCHEME ELDC are launching the Dog Watch Scheme throughout the whole of the East Lindsey District area.  They are seeking individuals who want to volunteer to become a Dog Watch Coordinator.  The coordinators will be responsible for their chosen area to relay any information or concerns given to them by the residents to the Council.  Please contact the Clerk to the Council for an Application form and further information.

DOGS FOULING – Anyone who witnesses dog fouling that they report it to the ELDC on 01507 601111 and ask for Dog Warden or text DOG to 07781481328

DOGS – NO DOGS ALLOWED IN JUNIOR PLAYING FIELDS

TURNING ROUNDABOUTS

Residents are requested not to park at the end of the turning roundabouts in particular on Collection Day.  The refuse vehicle is unable to drive around the roundabout consequently causing damage to the roundabout by driving on it.

AMENITY GRASS CUTTING & WHEELIE BIN COLLECTION                                                                                                                 The Green Waste bin will resume in March 2012.

The grass cutting will resume in March 2012.

EAST LINDSEY DISTRICT COUNCIL FACILITIES DAY

The dates of the forthcoming ELDC Facilities Day are Wednesday 11th January 2012 and Wednesday 8th February 2012.  9.00 am-1.00 pm and 2.00 pm-4.00 pm

The dates of your local ELDC Councillors’ surgery at the Parish Offices are

Wednesday 8th February 2012 10.00 am-12.00 noon                                 

BULKY ITEMS OF WASTE

If you need to dispose of bulky items of household waste, i.e. refrigerators, freezers, cookers, beds, etc., please contact East Lindsey District Council on 01507 601111 to arrange collection.  The fee is £15.00 for up to 4 items.

NORTHERN AREA COMMITTEE – 7TH MARCH 2012

As well as being invited to attend the Parish Council monthly meetings parishioners can also attend the next tier of committee for the East Lindsey area.  Next meeting is on Wednesday 7th March 2012, 7.00 pm at North Somercotes Village Hall. 

DATE OF NEXT MEETING FULL COUNCIL MEETINGS

The next two Full Council Meetings will be on and 20th February 2012 and 19th March 2012. All planning applications can be viewed at 7.15 pm. prior to the meetings. All parishioners are welcome.
